You will need a valid U.S. passport and a visa for Cambodia to travel to Cambodia. Once you are in the country, your business or tourist visa is valid for only one month. You can get a visa at airports and borders if you like. In that case, you should expect to be fingerprinted. You must also bring two passport-sized pictures of yourself, as well as a US passport valid for at least six months beyond the present date. Cambodia also provides online visa processing. To apply in person, you may visit:

Cambodian Embassy
4530 16th Street NW
Washington, DC 20011
Telephone (202) 726-7742
Fax (202) 726-8381

If you stay longer than the permitted period, you will be charged a $5 per day overstay fee for stays of 30 days or less. If you stay in Cambodia for more than 30 days after your visa expires, you will be penalized $6 each day. Check the Embassy of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s website for the most up-to-date information on visa policies and processes.
