If you want to visit Gibraltar, you won’t need a Gibraltar visa for up to 180 days. You will not require a visa to visit Gibraltar if you are a US citizen. While a visa is not required for travel to Gibraltar, the following requirements must be met.

Check passport validity –All visitors to Gibraltar must have a passport valid for at least 90 days after their departure date. When departing a country, the ideal amount of validity time on your passport should be approximately 6 months. In contrast to many other countries, Gibraltar does not require U.S. passports to have a specific validity period after departure.

Blank visa pages – When visiting Gibraltar, as well as many other countries, you must have at least two blank visa pages in your passport book. This will enable you to obtain any necessary stamps for your passport during your travel.

Transit Visa –When traveling to a country via connecting flight, a transit visa may be required. Countries where your flight makes an international stop may require a transit visa for connecting flights.

NOTE: Students wishing to stay in Gibraltar for more than six months will be required to obtain a student visa. This also applies to students staying less than six months but seeking employment during their stay.
