Are you planning a trip to Guatemala shortly? For up to 90 days, a Guatemala visa will not be required. You will not need a visa to visit Guatemala if you are a citizen of the United States. Although you do not need a visa to travel to Guatemala, you must make sure the following requirements are satisfied.

Check passport validity – A passport that is valid at least 90 days of departure is required for all travelers going to Guatemala. When leaving a country, the ideal amount of validity time left on your passport should be around 6 months.

Blank visa pages – When visiting Guatemala, as well as many other countries, you must have at least two blank visa pages in your passport book. This allows any stamps that may be needed when you travel to be added to your passport.

Transit Visa –When traveling to another country on a connecting flight, a transit visa may be required. When connecting flights, countries, where your flight makes a stopover, may require a transit visa. To double-check the details of your flight, contact your airline.

Transit Visa –: If you are flying out of Guatemala, you will be charged an outgoing fee. The additional charge is typically included in the airline company’s ticket price but can be charged separately. There will also be an additional charge for airport security, which will be included in the price of your airline ticket.
