Would you like to visit Guyana in the future? You only need a Guyana visa if you plan to stay in Guyana for more than 90 days You will not require a visa to visit Guyana if you are a US citizen. Before departure to Guyana, you should make sure the following are completed:

Check passport validity –A passport that is valid for at least 90 days after travel is required for all travelers to Guyana. When leaving a country, the ideal amount of validity time left on your passport should be around 6 months.

Blank visa pages –Guyana and numerous other countries require two blank visa pages in your passport book when you arrive and depart. This will provide room for any stamps that will be required to be stamped in your passport during your travels.

Transit Visa – A transit visa may be required when traveling to a country on a connecting flight. When connecting flights, countries where your flight makes a stay may require a transit visa.

Guyana allows visitors to travel in the country without a visa for 30 days. But if you want to stay beyond 30 days, you must apply to the Ministry of Home Affairs for an extension of the stay. The Ministry of Home Affairs is located at 60 Brickdam Street in Georgetown, Guyana. If you are not visiting Guyana purely for tourism, you should also contact the Ministry of Home Affairs. You will receive permits during your stay in Guyana from the Ministry of Home Affairs.
