Want to go to Haiti? For up to 90 days, a Haiti visa will not be required. You will not require a visa to visit Haiti if you are a US citizen. Ensure the following are for travel to Haiti: though a visa is not required.

Check your passport validity – After your trip to Haiti is over, it is recommended that your passport has at least 6 months of validity remaining. Because of this, some countries require less than 6 months validity on your passport, but many countries will require at least 6 months validity on your passport. This means you should take into consideration the validation time frame for the countries you plan to visit.

Blank visa pages –Having two blank visa pages in your passport book upon arrival and departure in Haiti is a standard procedure for the country. This will allow you to get any necessary stamps in your passport while you’re on the road.

Transit Visa – When traveling to a country on a connecting flight, a transit visa may also be required. When connecting flights, countries, where your flight makes a stopover, may require a transit visa.

Form DS-11 can also be used to apply for a passport card. To travel between the Caribbean and the United States, you’ll need a passport card.

Passport Card applicant must:

  • Bring (2) passport photos
  • Proof of identity
  • Photocopy of proof of identity
  • Proof of citizenship
  • Completed, unsigned application form
  • Bring $20 fee for a passport card

The agent at the passport application acceptance facility should see these documents. You will be sworn in and required to sign the application in the presence of the agent.

If you choose to visit a regional Passport agency, make sure you are aware of the requirements and schedule an appointment with the national Passport scheduling service by calling 1-877-487-2778.
