You’ve been dreaming about going to Honduras? You will not require a Honduran visa to visit the country. However, to travel to and from Honduras, you will need a valid passport. Before you travel to Honduras, you must have a passport that meets a set of requirements. It should meet the following criteria:

Check your passport validity – Your passport should have at least 6 months of validity remaining after your trip to Honduras. Many countries will only require a passport with a validity of less than six months, but because some countries will require a passport with a validity of at least six months, you should plan accordingly.

Blank visa pages –You will be expected to have at least two blank visa pages in your passport book when you arrive and depart in Honduras. This will allow you to get any necessary stamps in your passport while you’re on the go.

Transit Visa –A transit visa may be required when connecting flights go to a different country. Countries, where your flight makes an international stop, may require a transit visa for connecting flights.

NOTE: According to the US Department of State, Honduras’ crime and violence rates are extremely high. Avoid traveling to Honduras if possible. Though the rate of crime and violence has decreased in the last two years, Honduras remains a dangerous place to visit.
