Are you planning a trip to Iran? To do so, you’ll need a valid passport and an Iran visa. Make sure your passport has enough validity time after your intended stay before you plan your trip. The recommended validity period following your intended stay in Iran is six months.

Also, when traveling to Iran, make sure your passport has at least two blank visa pages. If you do not meet these two requirements, you will be turned away at the Iranian border. You will need to renew your passport to travel to Iran.

An Iran visa application form, your signed United States passport with at least 6 months validity, (2) passport photographs, an itinerary of your trip, and proof of yellow fever vaccination should all be included when applying for your visa. Additionally, you should provide a copy of your hotel reservations that include the applicant’s name, or if staying with family or friends, a notarized letter of invitation from them.

After that, Iran requires travelers to present a recent bank statement that includes the traveler’s name as the account holder, the date of the bank statement, and the traveler’s account balances.

If you need to apply for a business visa, you must submit a business letter in addition to the documents listed above. An introduction of the applicant, the nature of the business that will be conducted on the trip, and the type of visa and preferred validity length should all be included in a business letter. Finally, you’ll need to show that you have enough money to travel with a business letter. The business letter should be written on the letterhead of the company for which you work.
