Will you travel to Iraq to enjoy or to do business? Do you need a visa for Iraq? To do so, you will need an Iraq business visa. To travel to Iraq, you will also need a valid passport. After your trip to Iraq is over, your passport should be valid for at least six months. You should contact the Iraq Embassy in Washington, D.C. to apply for a visa to Iraq. You can also apply for a visa with one condition upon entering Iraq. You must submit an Entry Visa Approval Memorandum from the Ministry of Interior Residency Office as a condition.

If you are granted a visa to Iraq, you must enter the country within 90 days of the visa’s issuance for a single entry visa. Multiple entry visas for Iraq allow travelers to enter the country for up to six months after the visa is issued.

Requirements for an Iraq Business Visa

  • United States of America Passport valid for six months
  • Two Passport Photo
  • Personal Letter – The Iraq embassy’s letter explains why you want to visit Iraq, where you are to stay, and the duration of the journey.

When you are granted entry to Iraq, you will be required to comply with additional requirements. These requirements include receiving an arrival sticker and submitting a sample of blood within 10 days of your arrival in Iraq. The Iraqi Ministry of Health will be responsible for taking the blood sample.

If you choose to visit a regional Passport agency, make sure you are aware of the requirements and schedule an appointment with the national Passport scheduling service by calling 1-877-487-2778.
