Have you been thinking about going to Malta? Malta does not require a visa for stays of up to three months. A US passport is enough for travel to Malta. Before traveling to Malta, make sure your passport is up to date and in good working order. The following are some guidelines to follow when it comes to your passport.

Check passport validity – All visitors to Malta must have a passport that is valid for at least 90 days after they leave the country. Leave 6 months of validity on your passport when you leave a country so you can travel to nearby countries without a problem.

Blank visa pages – When traveling to and from Malta, as well as many other countries, travelers must have at least two blank visa pages in their passport book. This will make it possible for any stamps that will be required for your travel to be stamped in your passport.

Transit Visa –When traveling on a connecting flight, a transit visa may be required. Countries, where your flight makes a trip, may require a transit visa when boarding flights. Check the details of your flight with your airline.

Malta is part of the Schengen area, which allows visitors to enter without a visa for up to three months. You can visit Malta without a visa once every six months for up to 90 days.
