Is Nicaragua on your itinerary? You do not need a visa to visit Nicaragua for up to 3 months. You must ensure your passport is in order. Double-check everything listed below so you won’t run into any problem that may prevent you from traveling.

Travel Requirements
You should double-check that your passport is current and valid. After you leave Nicaragua, your passport should have at least three months of validity. To avoid any problems, we recommend leaving at least 6 months of validity on your passport. Nicaragua has an agreement that enables travelers’ passports to be waived for the necessary validity period. Your passport should be valid for the duration of your stay in Nicaragua.

You should also double-check that your passport book has enough blank visa pages before leaving. This enables Nicaragua immigration to stamp your passport book as necessary throughout your trip. The recommended minimum number of blank pages is: (2).

Finally, if you plan to connect to another flight on your way to Nicaragua, you should inquire about the flight’s details with your airline company. If you will be waiting in that country for a specific period while waiting for your connecting flight, you may be required to obtain a transit visa.
