Are you going to Portugal next? If so, for business and tourism purposes you will not need a Portuguese visa for up to 3 months. As Portugal is within Schengen, you can travel to other countries for 90 days without obtaining a visa within the Schengen area. This procedure may be repeated every six months. Before you leave for Portugal, make sure your current passport is in order and up-to-date. Before traveling to Portugal, please see the requirements your passport should meet.

Visa and travel requirements for Portugal
Passport Validity – Since Portugal is on the Schengen territory, we assume that, while you are in Portugal, you will travel to other Schengen areas. You need to ensure that your passport is valid for at least 6 months so that you don’t have problems while you are on the route.

Blank visa pages- When traveling to Portugal, you should make sure that you have at least (2) blank visa pages in your passport book. This allows you to put any required stamps on your passport book. Issues might occur if the passport book does not contain enough blank visa pages, so make sure the minimum amount is available.

Transit Visa- If you are traveling to Portugal and need to connect to another flight in another country, you may need to obtain a transit visa for that country. Inquire about the flight details with your airline provider.

If you live in Gillette, Wyoming, for example, you can apply for a passport at the Campbell County District Court or the US Post Office – Gillette. Before visiting, you should call to see if an appointment is required. Check a neighboring town or city if you can’t find an acceptance facility where you live.

When applying for a passport in Wyoming, you have two options: regular passport services, which take 4 to 6 weeks, or expedited passport services, which can take 2 or 3 weeks.
